CIMA have announced that as of the 1st August 2019 they are changing their exam fees.

There are a couple of reasons CIMA is doing this:

We invest to make sure that we continue providing an exam experience, syllabus and qualification that are relevant. The fee increase helps us, in part, to develop and lead a world class programme

The exam is the start of a career journey, pricing reflects more than the cost of administering the exam itself – the work we do subsidises research and investment in resources outside of the exam such as the job board, and research and development of CPD

Support for transition arrangements to facilitate a seamless experience for those students who started studying under the 2015 syllabus and are moving across to the  2019 syllabus

To allow us to invest in the future of the qualification, its development and its promotion to employers and students

The price still remains accessible and competitive - in line with other comparable accounting qualifications and much cheaper than higher education and MBA programmes that cover similar materials in their courses
